Blueberry Biscuits

Delightful blueberry biscuits that are fluffy, golden brown on the outside, and bursting with juicy blueberries. Perfect for breakfast or a snack!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  5. In another bowl, combine milk and vanilla.
  6. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly.
  8. Roll out to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits with a floured cutter.
  9. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For flakier biscuits, use cold butter and avoid overmixing the dough.
