Chewy Maple Cinnamon Cookies with White Chocolate

Soft and chewy cookies infused with maple syrup and cinnamon, filled with creamy white chocolate.

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate melting wafers
  • Holly berry sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy (3-4 minutes).
  3. Add maple syrup and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully mixed in.
  5. Gradually stir in the dry ingredient mixture until just combined.
  6. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Portion out dough into 1.5-ounce balls and place on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let the cookies cool and then dip half in melted white chocolate, placing them on parchment paper.
  11. Drizzle with remaining chocolate and sprinkle with berries before the drizzle hardens. Allow to set before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider browning the butter or adding chopped nuts or dried fruit.
