Crock Pot Angel Chicken

A comforting, creamy chicken dish cooked to perfection in a crock pot, served over angel hair pasta.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet Italian seasoning mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In your slow cooker, combine the cream of chicken soup, Italian seasoning, and chicken broth. Stir gently to mix.
  2. Nestle the chicken breasts into the mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Cover and set the slow cooker to LOW for 4 to 6 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  5. Stir sour cream into the slow cooker until combined.
  6. Carefully shred the chicken and mix back into the sauce.
  7. Serve the chicken mixture over the pasta, garnishing with parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, sear the chicken breasts before placing them in the crock pot. Add a splash of lemon juice for a tangy twist. Can be pre-prepared the night before.
