A nourishing combination of ground turkey and potatoes cooked in a skillet, perfect for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add chopped onion. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  2. Crumble ground turkey into the skillet, cooking until golden brown for about 7 to 10 minutes. Season with ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add diced potatoes to the skillet and cover. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the potatoes are tender.
  4. Gently fold in frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes until warmed through.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro before serving. Serve warm, optionally alongside crusty bread or rice.

Notes

For extra creaminess, consider adding a splash of chicken broth toward the end for depth.
