Healthy Beef and Broccoli

A wholesome and flavorful dish packed with protein-rich beef and vibrant broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • 2 Pounds Beef (Top Round preferred)
  • 2 Teaspoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Corn Starch
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil (for cooking)
  • 2 Teaspoons Minced Garlic
  • ¼ Cup Bone Broth (Low Sodium)
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar Substitute
  • 4 Tablespoons Low Sodium Oyster Sauce
  • 1 ½ Teaspoons Ground Ginger
  • 1 Tablespoon Corn Starch
  • 2 Tablespoons Cold Water
  • 1 Head Broccoli (about 450g)

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain.
  2. Combine sliced beef with soy sauce, black pepper, and corn starch. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute.
  4. Add marinated beef and stir-fry until browned (3 to 4 minutes).
  5. In a bowl, mix bone broth, sesame oil, brown sugar substitute, oyster sauce, ground ginger, corn starch, and cold water until well combined.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and cook until thickened (2 to 3 minutes).
  7. Add broccoli and steam for 2 to 3 minutes until bright green but still crisp.
  8. Stir to combine and serve hot.

Notes

Serve over rice or quinoa, and consider adding sesame seeds or green onions for garnish.
