A heartwarming and flavorful dish featuring ground beef and melted cheese wrapped in low-carb tortillas or cabbage leaves, perfect for cozy family dinners.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or provolone)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Low carb tortillas or cabbage leaves (for wrapping)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and green pepper, sautéing until they’re softened and fragrant, about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, and sprinkle it with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, roughly another 5-7 minutes.
  3. Once cooked, remove the skillet from heat, and stir in the shredded cheese until it melts into a gooey mixture.
  4. Take your low carb tortillas or cabbage leaves, and fill them with the beef and cheese mixture, rolling them up tightly.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, caramelize the onions slightly. Adding Worcestershire sauce enhances the beef’s flavor.
