Moist Banana Bread

A simple and foolproof recipe for moist banana bread made with ripe bananas, perfect for a comforting treat.

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until blended.
  5. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture, then stir gently.
  6. Add flour and stir until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For added depth, use brown sugar instead of white sugar. You can also try adding nuts or chocolate chips.
