Flip, Freeze, and Toast: A Cozy Approach to Leftover Pancakes

stack of golden buttermilk pancakes topped with syrup and butter

Transform your leftover pancakes into a quick and easy meal that retains that fluffy texture and comforting taste.

Ingredients

  • Leftover pancakes (cool and stored)
  • Optional: Butter for serving
  • Optional: Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Allow your leftover pancakes to cool completely on a rack.
  2. If large, cut the pancakes in half for easier storage.
  3. Wrap each pancake individually or stack them in a plastic wrap or zipper bag, sealing well.
  4. Place them in the freezer for storage.
  5. When ready to enjoy, take the frozen pancakes out and toast them until warm and crispy around the edges.
  6. Serve with butter and maple syrup, or your choice of toppings.

Notes

Freeze pancakes flat to prevent sticking. Consider doubling your recipe to have extra for freezing.
