Delightful brownies with a rich chocolate flavor and a charming spiderweb design, perfect for Halloween or cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons refined coconut oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or whipping cream or full-fat canned coconut milk)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch brownie pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In a larger bowl, mix the melted coconut oil and sugar until smooth, then stir in vanilla and eggs.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet, mixing until just combined. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is slightly soft.
  6. Let cool before decorating.
  7. For the spiderweb, heat the heavy cream until steaming, remove from heat, and stir in the white chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  8. Transfer to a piping bag and drizzle onto the cooled brownies in the shape of a spiderweb.
