Description
A quick and satisfying one-pan meal that blends the flavors of tacos and mac and cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 4 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and cook for another minute.
- Add the elbow macaroni and broth to the skillet, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until the pasta is al dente.
- Stir in the shredded cheese until melted, and add diced tomatoes if using.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
Ensure not to overcook the pasta for a perfect texture. Adding a splash of broth when reheating can help revive creaminess.
