Description
A delicious skillet chicken dish featuring mushrooms and a rich wine sauce that keeps the chicken moist and flavorful.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup white wine
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add sliced mushrooms and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in white wine and chicken broth, bringing to a simmer. Scrape the bottom of the skillet to release browned bits.
- Return chicken to skillet, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Ensure to brown the chicken properly for a delicious crust. Deglazing the pan enhances the sauce’s flavor.
