Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup wild rice
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the onion, carrots, and celery; sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic powder and cook for another minute.
- Add the chicken, wild rice, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes or until the rice is tender.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Let it simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
