One-Pot Cajun Chicken Alfredo Orzo

A creamy, rich, and comforting dish made entirely on the stovetop, featuring Cajun seasoned chicken and orzo pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced chicken and season with Cajun seasoning. Cook until browned.
  2. Add chopped onion, bell peppers, and garlic. Sauté until vegetables are soft and fragrant.
  3. Stir in orzo and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender and absorbs the broth.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly and is creamy.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
