Description

A delicious and easy-to-make chicken casserole with a flaky crust and a flavorful filling of chicken and vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts or puff pastry

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the cooked chicken, mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl until well mixed.
  3. Roll out the pie crusts or puff pastry and fit one into a greased casserole dish.
  4. Pour the chicken mixture into the casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Cover with the second pie crust or puff pastry, sealing the edges and cutting slits in the top for steam to escape.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure to mix the filling thoroughly for balanced flavors. You can substitute mixed vegetables based on your preference.
