Description
A quick and comforting meal featuring chicken and linguine coated in a rich, creamy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, keeping a small amount of pasta water for later.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced chicken, seasoning it with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Toss the cooked linguine in the skillet with the sauce. If too thick, add reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
