Description

A quick and comforting dish featuring gnocchi in a creamy, tomato-infused sauce that is perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package store-bought gnocchi
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ground beef, cooking until the beef is browned, roughly 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and simmer for another 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and allow it to simmer until slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Fold in the gnocchi, ensuring all pieces are coated in the sauce, and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the gnocchi is tender.

Notes

Ensure the beef is well-browned for depth of flavor. Adjust simmering times if using lighter cream alternatives.
