Description

A baked chicken dish with a crunchy crust and creamy garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup (100 g) of finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (120 g) of breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) of heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil or butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound to an even 1-inch thickness.
  3. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
  4. Set up a breading station: beat the eggs in one bowl, and mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan in another.
  5. Dip each chicken piece in the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly.
  6. Arrange the breaded chicken on a greased baking sheet, spacing apart for even cooking.
  7. Bake chicken for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for 2-3 minutes at the end.
  9. Melt butter or heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  10. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant and golden, about 1-2 minutes.
  11. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
  12. Season the garlic sauce with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality chicken and fresh garlic. Leftovers can be repurposed in salads, pasta dishes, or sandwiches.
