Description

A simple, hearty ground beef pasta dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or macaroni)
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer until the pasta is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed, approximately 10-12 minutes.
  5. Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Ensure ground beef is at room temperature before cooking for even browning. Stir pasta while simmering to prevent sticking.
