Description
A simple, hearty ground beef pasta dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces pasta (penne or macaroni)
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer until the pasta is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed, approximately 10-12 minutes.
- Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Ensure ground beef is at room temperature before cooking for even browning. Stir pasta while simmering to prevent sticking.
