Description
A one-pan dish where chicken is seared to perfection and cooked together with jasmine rice in a sweet and spicy honey chipotle sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons chipotle sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add chicken breasts and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Mix honey and chipotle sauce in a bowl, then pour over the chicken to create a glossy coating.
- Add jasmine rice and chicken broth to the skillet, stirring to combine and ensuring even distribution.
- Bring to a simmer, then cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for 15-20 minutes until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
For best flavor, ensure the chicken is well-browned and allow the dish to sit before serving.
