Description

A comforting stovetop meal featuring chicken cooked in a flavorful BBQ sauce served over rich, chicken broth-infused rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmers.
  2. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Combine BBQ sauce and honey in a bowl; pour over cooked chicken and stir to coat.
  4. Cook until the sauce caramelizes slightly.
  5. In a separate pot, combine rice and chicken broth; bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  6. Serve BBQ chicken over rice and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes
