Description

A comforting one-pot meal combining ground beef, elbow macaroni, and a medley of seasonings, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (sharp cheddar recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until it’s no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, elbow macaroni, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the pasta is tender.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese until it melts completely.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

Brown the meat properly for better flavor and drain excess fat to prevent greasiness. Experimenting with different cheeses can add unique flavors.
