- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese (sharp cheddar recommended)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until it’s no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, elbow macaroni, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the pasta is tender.
- Stir in the shredded cheese until it melts completely.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
Brown the meat properly for better flavor and drain excess fat to prevent greasiness. Experimenting with different cheeses can add unique flavors.
