Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup orzo pasta

- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, ensuring the meat is fully cooked.

- Add the orzo pasta and chicken broth; bring to a boil while stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes or until the orzo is tender.

- Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens enough to coat the pasta well.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute Italian sausage for ground turkey. Be mindful of cooking times to avoid mushy pasta.
