Description
A practical dish for busy weeknights, featuring tender ground beef meatballs coated in a rich gravy, perfect for pairing with your favorite sides.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix lightly just until combined.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5–7 minutes.
- Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- Add flour to the same skillet and cook until lightly browned.
- Whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce gradually until well combined; ensure the mixture is smooth.
- Bring to a simmer and return meatballs to the skillet. Cook for an additional 10–15 minutes, until meatballs are cooked through and gravy has thickened.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley.
Notes
Avoid overworking the meatball mixture to prevent tough meatballs. Fresh ingredients like parsley enhance the flavor.
